The DJIA record in context ([Scott Grannis](http://scottgrannis.blogspot.com/2013/03/stocks-for-long-haul.html)). [Charts](http://www.bespokeinvest.com/thinkbig/2013/3/6/fresh-charts-of-the-dow-sp-500-and-nasdaq.html) of the breakout. “So is it too late for investors to join the party?” ([Josh Brown](http://www.thereformedbroker.com/2013/03/06/wrong-question/)). Or is the problem survivorship bias? ([Money Illusion](http://www.themoneyillusion.com/?p=19549&utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+Themoneyillusion+%28TheMoneyIllusion%29)). The bears make a great case and are grumpy as ever ([John Hussman](http://www.hussmanfunds.com/wmc/wmc130218.htm)). But the bears are wrong on the economy in pieces like [this](http://www.acting-man.com/?p=21964) and [this](http://www.aei-ideas.org/2013/03/housing-recovery-construction-employment-is-increasing-by-more-than-1000-new-jobs-every-day/#.UTdw44FYjnI.twitter).

Stanley Druckenmiller: “I don’t know when it’s going to end, but my guess is, it’s going to end very badly” in another great [interview](http://www.planbeconomics.com/2013/03/05/stanley-druckenmiller-i-dont-know-when-its-going-to-end-but-my-guess-is-its-going-to-end-very-badly/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter). Why the bull market can continue: [Business Insider](http://www.businessinsider.com/why-the-bull-market-can-continue-2013-3?op=1).

To illustrate Druckenmiller’s point, consider the [railroads](http://seekingalpha.com/article/1169601-the-railroad-why-coal-doesn-t-matter-to-this-american-legend?source=email_macro_view&ifp=0); outstanding business’s at rich valuations.

Outside of Europe and Japan, PMI indexes are robust ([Avondale](http://avondaleam.com/global-pmi-data/)). World trade boomed over the last decade:

**Did the gold stocks rocket out of a bear trap Wednesday morning? *ISA* doesn’t make predictions, but this guy does: [Toby Connor](http://goldscents.blogspot.com/2013/03/dollar-top-commodities-bottom.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+GoldScentsByTobyConnor+%28GOLD+SCENTS+by+Toby+Connor%29).** As you may [know,](http://seekingalpha.com/instablog/115997-jj-butler/1524861-silver-wheaton-s-bad-big-deal)Silver Wheaton is no longer a favorite ([ugh](http://www.miningweekly.com/article/silver-wheaton-chief-would-be-surprised-not-to-close-more-deals-this-year-2013-03-05?utm_source=Creamer+Media+FDE+service&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Mining+Weekly+Daily+News+-+North+America+and+South+America&utm_term=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.miningweekly.com%2Farticle%2Fsilver-wheaton-chief-would-be-surprised-not-to-close-more-deals-this-year-2013-03-05)).
